Odds are, you're here for the same reason all of our students come here.
Cannabis helped change your life in some way, and at some point you thought, "Everyone has to know how incredible this plant is."
You probably saw how difficult it is to get good guidance and information out there, and wanted to help others understand how to use cannabis in a way that's healthy, safe, and effective.
Maybe you already tried to start helping, but you had a hard time getting people to follow your advice.
Maybe you were too scared to start because you didn't know what was legal, and you wanted to make sure that you didn't do anything unsafe or unethical.
Maybe you didn't feel right charging for your services, or didn't know how much to charge, so your business stalled.
Maybe you knew you wanted to work with cannabis, so you got a job as a budtender or somewhere in the industry, and now you aren't making the impact you wanted to.
You want to make a career out of helping others with cannabis, but you don't know where to start.
If any of those sound like you, I totally understand.
When I started my cannabis business in 2013, I had no idea what was safe, effective, ethical, or financially sustainable. And when it came to helping others navigate using cannabis for health, I was lost.
When cannabis became legal for adult use in Colorado, I knew I wanted to help others with this plant, but I didn't know how.
Since then, I've tried on many different hats in the industry.
I've been a trimmer, worked in grow operations, contributed to some of the industry's leading publications (like High Times and Merry Jane), and started a blog that has gone on to help millions of people on their journey with cannabis.
As soon as I started writing about cannabis, people started reaching out and asking for help. They wanted to know how to use cannabis as medicine.
Many of them were dealing with things like anxiety, chronic pain, and depression. They wanted to do what I had done with cannabis: lose weight, control their anxiety, and feel better.
The more I wrote, the more often I heard from people with more serious issues like cancer and epilepsy.
At first, I was too scared to help. I mean, I'm not a doctor, and I didn't fully understand the law.
Could I even say that cannabis was "good" for something like depression? Would that be legal? And even if it was legal, would it be ethical?
Eventually, when the pull to help became too strong, I went and got some legal guidance.
I went to my lawyer and made certain that if I said something or helped someone, I was doing things that were both legal for me and safe for my clients.
After that, I set out to help with a vengeance. I was ready, I was informed, and I was within the bounds of the law.
But when I started helping, people weren't getting the results I was expecting. People struggled with consistency and it was hard to figure out what was working and what wasn't.
Sometimes I gave them too much information. I noticed when I did this, they would get so overwhelmed, they didn't know what step to take. I watched as they tried too many things at once, or did nothing at all.
Some would tell me that they knew they needed to change their lifestyle and their habits but struggled with improving their diet, exercising consistently, or getting more sleep. Cannabis was helping, but it wasn't everything.
I realized that when people come to you asking questions about cannabis, they're really asking you how cannabis can help them feel better, get better, or be better.
They've heard that cannabis can help, but what they care most about is getting the results they want, not getting high, or learning information about a really cool plant.
I realized that if we're going to really help people, we need to give them everything we've got.
That's when I went back to my health and wellness roots and decided to incorporate my cannabis education and experience into the practice of health coaching.
And ding ding! We had a winner.
Almost overnight, my clients started having transformations that were both fast and fun.
With my support, using the skills I'd learned as a coach, they were no longer struggling to change their habits and they were able to dial in their cannabis use much more quickly, saving them time and money.
My clients were happy. My business was thriving, and I was helping more people than I'd ever dreamed possible.
Then people started writing and asking me to teach them how to become cannabis coaches, so they could start doing the same thing.
So in 2018, by the request of 6 women, I founded the Cannabis Coaching Institute to share this practice. I thought we’d have a small group of cannabis and health nerds, but I sent out one email and was flooded with 60 applications.
I quickly realized that this work was going to change the world of cannabis. And in a big way.
That's when I brought on my mentor and coaching partner Niki Wells to help our students overcome challenges and develop a practical coaching skill set. With her support, our students can create more fulfilling businesses facilitating powerful transformation in their clients' lives.
Later, we welcomed cannabis educator Andrea Meharg to the team, to give our students a world-class Cannabis Educator Training. With Andrea's help you leave feeling like a confident cannabis expert and knowledgable guide - even if you start the program with no cannabis experience.
Three years later, after training over 180 Cannabis and Health Coaches, we've been able to test what works and what doesn't when it comes to starting a career as a cannabis educator and coach.
Unlike other programs that give you only a portion of what you need, we give you the tools, experience, support, mentorship, business guidance, and done-for-you programs so you can get started now.
Because people need you now.
We’ve combined everything we’ve learned and everything our coaches have learned into our signature program: The Cannabis and Health Coach Certification Program
For this training, our main goal is to get you out there and helping people as soon as possible.
That’s why we give you more than just information.
We know that support, community, accountability, and taking action are crucial to your success, and we want you to succeed while you're in the program.
You'll get everything I used in my cannabis coaching business including done-for-you scripts, handouts, and professional insights that took me years of trial and error to figure out.
You’ll also get support on our live monthly Q&A calls where we’ll model powerful coaching techniques and strategize with you to build your business or overcome client challenges.
If you’re worried you won’t know enough about cannabis to help, we’ve got you covered under our "no worries allowed" policy.
We include our comprehensive Cannabis and Health Educator Training Program and a monthly live cannabis science call, so you leave the program feeling like a confident cannabis professional.
And as a bonus, because I truly believe that successful women-run cannabis businesses change the direction this world is going in, I'll share with you the secrets of my multiple six-figure cannabis and health business in hands-on workshops and insightful masterclasses.
These business classes aren't based on sleazy get-rich quick schemes (no weird CBD pyramid schemes).
Instead, I'll show you how to create sustainable and flexible business models that always serve the greater good and grow your business - even when you're sleeping.
But we don't stop there.
We believe in the legitimacy and power of Cannabis Coaching, so we’re doing the advocacy work on your behalf.
We’ve become accredited as a CE provider by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching and have joined some of the leading professional organizations and advocacy groups in the cannabis industry.
We know what it takes to be a pioneer in this field, and we're here to support you in building a business you love, helping others with this powerful plant medicine.
It's an honor to walk with you on this path - serving this plant and the people it can help. If you feel called to do this work, I can't wait to support you during this process.
Check out what we’ve created for you and if it feels like a good fit, enroll now to get started.
See you soon.
With love,
Corinne Tobias
